My father died over two decades ago after a life lived hard, in a body that was scarred by war, famine and years of alcohol abuse, haunted by a mind traumatized by all of those same things.
Wonderful and tender writing about your dad. My Polish dad used to mangle the English language too. When the doctor told him that his EKG indicated a severe heart condition, he told me that the KGB is killing him. 😊 love and thank you for sharing.
Very poignant 💕
Beautifully written Natalie! A wonderful tribute to your dad and to the gifts that he gave you.
Dear Natalie, Thank you for creating this love filled space where we can embrace the positives and celebrate our fathers and husbands !!
Oh Natalie, this is so well written and and honor to him. I'm so glad you shared this. And I like the lovely tribute, and remembering the positive.
Beautifully written, Nat. I remember your Dad well It was always clear to me how proud of you he was. ❤️
Dear friend, this is very moving and beautifully written. To Tato, Jon, and all the fathers who did a perfectly imperfect job bringing us here!
Thank you for reading, and for your kind words, my friend! These holidays, like all of life, are messy and hard. Sending love to you and yours. xo
